Ravensbourne University London sought a highly commercial, strategic Head of Business Development to establish and grow a new Apprenticeships and Skills business unit and appointed UL Associates to support the search. We conducted a cross-sector search across Independent Training Providers, Further Education, and Higher Education, focusing on business acumen, apprenticeship expertise, and strategic leadership. We progressed ten strong candidates from diverse backgrounds, all of whom were carefully assessed and informally referenced. The panel interviewed four candidates, all of whom were found appointable, making the decision difficult. The panel selected the successful candidate for bringing fresh thinking and energy, alongside essential commercial and technical expertise.
